why don't friends with kids have time?

A snappy piece by Carolyn Hax of the Washington Post. Cindy found it. She's the mother of Irish twins (two under twelve months!) who is allowed to say whatever she wants about motherhood.

  1. I'm waving my hands above my head with my eyes closed, yelling "Testify!"
My Auntie Robin, who has no kids but is often taking her grand-nephews and nieces for outings and sleep-overs, said to me once, "What amazes me about mothers is the constancy of the job". I gave her a hug.

  2. I love this. I love that Carolyn Hax was so honest and said it straight. If only there were more voices like this.

  3. i'm glade you wrote that shellity : the constancy of the job! Thanks for sharing rachael! i printed the arcticle..

Thanks for talking to me. I don't got cooties. Oh, except for when I got cooties.
